Default Operating System Other Than Windows

I just wanted to know if there are any Operating Systems out there other than Windows and Linux. I installed Debian (Linux) a while ago, but then I took it off because I didn't like it. I had to enter commands to move folders, and I had to play around a lot with my sound drivers to get them to work. Is there anything out there that's similar to Windows and that's user friendly without all the command lines. I know that OS X is out, but I can't use that. If there is anything out there, can you please let me know?

Thanks.

you don't have to use the CLI to move folders around in Linux.

I have a friend who uses BSD and loves it, never used it myself though but I hear good things.

Hrm, I have never tried Bsb though. Have any of you guys ever used it? Also, is it user friendly? I want an OS like windows, but just as user friendly. So, I have no idea what to get. So, what's out there that I can get?

Thanks.

BSD, user friendly? Ya, once its set up, but no more so than linux or any other POSIX compliant OS.

Once linux is setup it is just as user friendly as any other OS, ever tried gnome or KDE? Both of those GUI's are very windows-like.

You won't find anything worht using other than Linux. Download OpenSUSE 10. It is the easiest Linux distro. You can get the commerical version for $50, but Novell also released a mainstream stripped down verison which isn't very different from the retail. Download that, I tested it out. I liked, but since I've been using Linux for a long time, I'm more used to a power distro: Gentoo [don't try this one, you'll be crying].
