Default Open Office

I have done some stuff on open office writer, but now need to use it on this computer, which only has MS Word. How can I open the OO documents?

That's because OO writer saves the file as .odt, which you need to save the file as .doc (Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP) in OO writer so that both OO writer and Word can view it.

tetlow_63,

Yeah you will need to either Go back and save the orginal document in .doc format, D/L Open office or use a Linux Live CD to get your data, if you didn't save it in .DOC format originally this is under Save as type and you can save it as a Word file. OOo saves it's documents in .ODT as law has stated above or if you are using 1.1 version in .SXW format
