GameGURU is on a distinguished road

Default Okeey Dokeey...

Now, I got a 50 ft. Cat5 test cable (need to get a 100 footer to run it properly). Good stuff it is, I like it more than wireless. Anyways, that's not the point.

The point is, I tried to get it connected to the internet in Slackware 10.2 and it didn't automatically work like it did in Windows.

Hum...how do I setup my internet via Cat5 network in Slackware 10.2?

This weekend I should get my 100 foot cable and get myself wired up to the router, I can't wait

I can't wait to use Slackware 10.2...I want it NOW!

horndude is on a distinguished road

Default

as root in a terminal type netconfig

OR

as root type pkgtool and then select run install scripts again, then select network configure

you will likely want DHCP, which means you will need the DHCP software installed too
