Re: OK need help with finding a distro. I would second the idea of using PCLinuxOS. Thats what I'm using right now.
Ubuntu is a great distro because there is so much support available for it. But when I first installed ubuntu fiesty fawn, it came with the bare minimum programs and tools. PClinuxOS came with alot more!
I have to say though, when it comes to wifi; linux is somewhat difficult to use. I had the hardest time getting wifi to work, and then finaly got it to work in ubuntu with the help of ubuntuforums.org, but thats just my thoughts.
