Default [NQ]: SuSE installer not recognizing my Hard drive.

I have a 250 GB WB S-ATA 3.0GB/s Hard drive.
When I run the installer, it probes my hardware and everything checks out, but under "Partitioning" it says, "No hard drive found to partition." or something along those lines, no error messages at all.
I am installing SuSE Pro 9.1 64-bit.

Any ideas on how I can make it recognize my HDD?

The 32bit OpenSuse 10.0 (or 10.1) will problaby handle sata.
http://www.opensuse.org/Download

I think the 32bit version will work because mabey the 64bit version might not have the correct hardware support for it yet.

No problem. Good luck, I hope it works for you. I recomend Ubuntu over SuSE though.

I have Unbuntu and have installed it. But every time I go to log in I just get screen dirt. A little bar in the middle of my screen overtop a black background. I have done this with 32-bit and 64, both Live and Installed. :sigh:
