This is my first time installing linux (I've used before but not on my own computer).

I downloaded Ubuntu 6.10 (might try something else). When I try to install I get a message "no screen detected" or something very similar. I think it might be my graphics card I have a radeon x600 and i connect thru DVI.



Suggestions?

This is the distro I use and recommend, Why because it works right out of the box. No need to configure Everything, everything just works. It also comes as a 1 CD install that is a live CD that you can install later if you wish.
