Default New to Linux/Unix

I am brand new to actually maintaining and installing Linux/Unix.. I am going to be installing it on my computer within a week at the most, hopefully.

I was just wondering, what should I install, Redhat, Slackware, FreeBSD, Fedora etc.. Which should I start with.. what is the easiest to use.. etc..

redhat, fedora, and mandrake are the best and most easy to use....freebsd is text based so if your looking for ease of use go with redhat or fedora
