| Re: New with Linux polishlinux.org » Distro chooser
Go thru that. It will give you a suggestion of which Linux OS's to try. If you are a avid Windows user there is Ubuntu, PCLinuxOS and OpenSuSe that you can try as well.

| Re: New with Linux This may just be a different answer than most ppl, however you should try Granular Linux. It is a newer distro, and has a lot of good things going for it. You should check it out for sure. It is easy to use, fun, and different. However don't us it as your primary OS, it is still beta-so it has it's share of bugs. You can get it here: Granular | The home of Granular Linux |

If you decide to go with Ubuntu you might want to wait until 8.04 is released later this month. |

| Re: New with Linux Your best option there would be to try Wubi first. That way you can make sure you want it installed for a period of time before you create a partition for it.

| Re: New with Linux I say Ubuntu. It's awesome, well supported, fairly commercially backed (at least in terms of Linux distros, it's been recognized by several companies like Dell and has support), and, most importantly, a huge and helpful community. It's very easy to install and use.
I'd say to go install it now, but in just like 8 days, the new 8.04 release will come out, so I suggest waiting until then to get 8.04.

| Re: New with Linux If i am not mistaken Mind already went back to Vista. As he had a topic in there on how to get it working again.
But it is good to hear 6.04 comes out soon. I really want to use it.
