ok i downloaded the linux 9 Open source version and i wanna install it on my Windows pc, i heared its more stable n such than sir Crash alot (aka XP!) i currently got. i got the i386 version of discs but cant seem to get the intall program to recognise my drives so that it can detect them.

its a Maxtor 2f040j0 120 gb

ive also got them on cds but cant get them to detect either.

any ideas?

what version of linux are you trying to install, red hat im assuming

ya red hat, the open source one that you can get off of http://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/9/en/iso/i386/

i was thinking, since the boot disk started as an iso then i used rawrite to turn it into a bunch of files do i need to do the same to the disk iso's?
