I have been looking for a decent GIF editor for Linux. GIMP doesn't handle animated GIFs very well.

Hm...I always use The Gimp.

Unless you can get something working with Wine, I am not sure what to say.

ImageMagick will also animate GIFs I believe. Not totally sure what the best way to do this is though, haven't had to make animated GIFs for a number of years...
