Default Ndiswrapper problems

My dad has a laptop from work that he uses to do work on, and he just put SuSE 9.1 on it for one of the classes he teaches. Problem is, he (nor I) can get Ndiswrapper to run properly on it. We got the drivers that are known to work with it, but when instal the drivers, run Ndiswrapper and add it to modprobe, WLAN does not show up at all. Are we doing something wrong?

All suggestions welcome. TIA.

(Card is the Intel PRO Wireless 2200BG and the lappy is a Dell Latitude D600.)

Hm...

Open Yast and then configure the network card properties.

Find network cards, add it if it's not already detected, make sure it's set to wireless.

Enter the WEP, channel, ESSID etc.

There should also be something that says "module name" or something similar. Type ndiswrapper in it.

Save all of that and modprobe again, see if that works.

It didn't, but come to find out, these are the wrong drivers. I could have sworn I used the ones the Ndis wiki suggested...

I'll try the other ones and report back soon.
