im currently running suse linux 9.3 pro, and im using the grub boot loader,

my problem is the grub boot loader is very very very slow i was wandering is there was an alternative to it i have been told of one but i forgot.. ,

also if someone could tell me how to install any new boot loader that was also be helpfull

LILO (Linux Loader) is your alternative. I don't know how to set it up in SuSE though.

When you say Grub is slow, do you mean the timeout before it loads the default OS, or something else? You should be able to change the timeout.
