i wanted to install a good database on my linux system...i use postrgresql in my college. i have never used mysql......
so i just wanted to ask which is better ??

I always liked MySQL however that's the opinion of one man. Try them both, in the end, you must decide.

i dont think i can try them both in depth so as to understand their advantages and flaws in a short period of time. thats exactly why asked opinions of others who may have used these extensively.
i have just used postgresql to a small extent. has anyone used both??
even if no one has used both still you can suggest one option and tell me the reason as to why you recomend it.
