Question Mutt, Mutt, Mutt...

Mutt won't view jpgs obviously... Mutt is what I use to check my mail on a shell account, and I CANT SEE PICTURES THAT WERE SENT!!!

*which I'd really like to see*

how is this done? Is there a "visual" ssh client...??? or will a browser be able to access my shell account??

What can I do?

thanks

Al

There are more Linux softwares to check mail, why dont you try them? There is no such thing as a visual shell, just like there is no graphical DOS prompt.

Email clients come with linux, which can be used to view pictures. Evolution is one such client, to the best of my knowledge. It is just like Outlook.

ok, you got the completely wrong idea. this is a SHELL ACCOUNT I'm talking about, not my personal linux system.

I was asking if there is a program that uses that SSH protocol, but has a visual interface.

I had to copy the image into my home folder and then email it to my gmail...

I think I have a similar post somewhere else

I think you just might be screwed.... dont you get an ftp account on your shell? you could just go ftP:\\<site>\<dir>\<image>.jpg and view them that way with your local browser? or mabe just download them directly? Hope this ideas usefull.

The Linux shell wasn't made to view pictures, and it simply... won't.
