hey, i dont have them installed now but i will once i figure out how to do this, im on a 56k connection and do not know how to set up an internet connection in linux. can anyone put it in terms that a 10 year old could understand? if you need modem information its an aztech systems LTD modem, dont really have anymore info than that other than its just a 56k modem, its PCI...and...yea any help woul dbe greatly appreciated. thanks.

from a terminal as root type "lspci" and see if its listed first

type "dmesg | more" also and see if its detected at boot up

if its being seen as a valid device we can go from there

also as posted in other thread, check redhats site to see if that modem is linux compatible too
