Default linux wirless network

i have a belkin wireless adapter which i use on win xp fine, i have Linux 6.10 and i was wandering how to connect to the internet, it coomes up on the network adaptors but oviously you cant install the drivers as lionux cant do .exe file. Help would be nice

Gee, I wasn't aware of a Linux 6.10 release...

What Belkin wireless adapter? You'll probably be looking at Ndiswrapper or MadWifi.

I assume you mean Edgy 6.10. I know we Linux types or so dang smug. What can we say? We have better software.

oops thats what i meant, ill try those programs, my adapter is a belkin 802.11g- 54mbps 75D7050

i really have no idea how to run ndiswrapper, i read the INSTALL instructions but they didn't really make sense to me, im a bit of a newbie to linux so if someone could tell me simply how to run ndiswrapper i would be very happy
