Default Linux+Windows XP

Hi, i have two hard drives and was just wondering, if i have windows xp installed on one hard drive can i then put linux on the other one and then have the two of them or would it cause a conflict. I don't meen running the both of them simutaniously just one at a time.

No. Just install Linux, and when it comes to the bootloader part, make sure you install GRUB.

Dual booting is fairly straight forward, on most versions of Linux, it will automatically determine the operating systems installed on your system and set everything up for you automatically and create a screen that comes up when you boot that will prompt you for what OS to load.

Thats great will do that, just got a new motherboard and processor so it was just basically to know when i'm reinstalling it. Thanks again
