Default Linux Vs Win

Ive heard so many times that lnux is more stable than any ms sys. I also have experienced this. Why is a unix based sys more stable than an ms? Is it?

thanks for advice

its all about the file structure and the way the OS runs on the hardware. Linux is more stable b/c it is trying to do less so there is less chance of it getting confused or losing information bits. Microsoft products have so much crap going on they are always crashing themselves.

Do you see a dropoff in performance when using Wine?

If your a gamer, don't go with linux.

But, if your a gamer like me you'll have a dual boot set up

By the way...WINE sucks. I can't even get it to run Adobe Photoshop 7 Properly or most Proggys for that matter.

how i understand it is that unix uses programs that do 1 thing very stable and well.
but windows code can do many things that it gets the os confused etc.
im not sure if thats right.
but thats how i understand it.
