Default Linux Server

I have a low end machine that I'm going to turn into a server.

Which low end distro of Linux is good for Servers?

I'm not quite sure.

Depends how low end. Try Debian.

Well I'd like for it to have a GUI.

And I'd like for it to be able to run Server progs like.

ispconfig.

Basically it's a substitue to the .nix CLI.

Of course I will learn the CLI but I can't learn it all at once.

So something like ispconfig (open source) will hmmm what's the word.

It will get me ready for CLI. Kinda hard to explain.

EDIT: I'd also like it to be a popular low end distro. Really anything that will support ispconfig that's low end.

Thanks for looking into this.

Ubuntu has a server version that can automatically set up a LAMP setup (linux, apache, mysql, php).

Yeah I did some research and downloaded it a couple hours ago.

It's done so all I need to do is burn it to a cd and test it out.

Hopefully. Hopefully it'll work on my old computer.

*fingers crossed*

CentOS is very good, but it's not a "low-end" distro. It's the exact same distro as RedHat EL only debranded.
