Default linux questions

i know i am a noob with linux, but i have a few questions. i recently downloaded linux redhat and am wondering how to install it. Do you have to have the whole installtion on disks? Does your hard drive have to be parioned a certain way? is it an automatic installtion?
thank you for your time

With redhat its pretty much just put the install disks in and follow the prompts, like any other linux though, save yourself some headaches and know your hardware and make sure its supported under linux first. If redhat is the way it was a year ago, theres an option to partition the drive for you I believe. If not you will need to make a root partition,/usr partition,/boot and swap partitions at the minimum.

Goto redhats website and look around, they have decent support, they probably have a tutorial or installations tips.
