Default Linux Installation Problem

Here is my system

Dual Core 9550
8 GB DDR2-1066
1 GB BFG 280
On board Sound
128 GB OCZ SSD
Vista Ultimate SP2

I tried to install Fedora 11 and after waiting a long time for the drive formatting, the process ended due to an error in the SSD HD. I tried three (3) times with no sucess. I resintalled Vista and it runs like rain.

I have a second Dell 4600 with a SATA and the same error showed up with both Fedora and Ubuntu. Simply, the OS cannot format the HD. I tried using live cd, swing around and then install from the screen. The same thing.

I re-install XP and tried to install in a second partiion so I can make a dual boot. The same error. Again, I reformat, resintall XP only and no error showed up.

Any help is very welcome.

So you get the same error on two different computers while trying to set up two different OS? What is that error?

This could be a driver issue with Fedora Core and the SSD that you are using, you should Google for people getting similar errors with Fedora Core/Red Hat variants on OCZ SSDs
