Hello everybody
Please tell me a Linux tutorial site
i am only user of Windows.
I want to use linux..
and please also suggest me a good Linux Flavor.
I want to use Linux for my Desktop.

I just installed fedora core 4 into my old gateway E-3000 pentium1. And i'm very pleased so far

I don't recommend FC4. Their "all open-source" idea is good but very flawed, so it takes extra time to get such things as multimedia apps. Once you fix that, and all its other weird quirks, it's no longer worth it. I recommend Mandriva instead.

Oh, and don't forget to read the sticky with the list of useful Linux sites.

ubuntu is a nice beginner distro and very user-friendly. I would recommand suse though. There are some tutorials here from beginner to a little more difficult: http://surfern.net/index.php?categoryid=21

If you're just starting out with Linux I wouldn't jump the gun and completely switch over to Linux so fast; I'd suggest starting off with a bootable linux distro (Ubuntu, Knoppix, etc.) to get yourself familiar with the Linux desktop, as it can be very confusing to use for some people.

when i go to the slax webssite it says that it is a pocket os... meanin it for pocket pc's? or can i use Slax standard edition v. 5.0.6 on my desktop?
