Default Linux Firewall

I want to set up a server to act as a firewall for other computers, but I can't really find a version of Linux that will run on my machine (I would prefer a GUI). It is an old 486 and does not boot off of the CD-ROM due to the oldness of the BIOS. Although it does recognize the CD-ROM drive.

How much ram does it have?If its under 12mb a GUI will likely be out of the question.

Slackware, definitely older versions, will let you make boot floppies and install that way.

I would go with Vecotor Linux and install Webmin to manage to firewall.

Vector Linux - http://www.vectorlinux.com/

Webmin - http://www.webmin.com/

It will run. not well, but just enough to confiure the thing and then let it sit there and work

Hope this helps,
Adam
