Default Linux Fileserver

So, I got this old and slow computer

Intel 166mhz MMX
32MB memory
6x 1GB SCSI HD:s
a network card

What's the best linux that would run with it?
I wan't to make it to an internet fileserver where I could transfer files back and forth through the net, and with some security so it would not be too easily hacked..

Well most linux distros will have everything you will need with them. Linux is generally a secure os. most come with a firewall you can set up. just don't make a password that anyone can guess.

Just use IP tables and firewall every port your not using. IF your going to be running an FTP server then use VSFTP its awsome. Just check security focus alot and make sure your services are up to day and you should be good.

I would go with slackware.
