so i decided to make the switch and my first problem was that i guess i tried to install limewire and it froze so i restarted and tried installing again and this popped up saying i can ony have package installer at a time? O_o help guys, im loving linux so far

close the ubuntu update manager if it is running.

the issue in the link is possibly related.

thanks nitestick that is exactly my problem, so i go into synaptic manager and i get this

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

and on there it doesn say how to fix it... any ideas bro? maybe if i shut my computer down?

do what it says. basically that means open up a terminal (Applications>Accessories>Terminal) and type "sudo dpkg --configure -a". you'll be prompted for your password.

hmm weird everythings good so far cept i cant install java stuff.. it always freezes >< and on top of that i cant install the plugins for rythmbox >< thsi is frustratingg maybe im a noob?
