Default knoppix & knoppix std?

what is the difference between the two?
and also i have a real slow pentium 2 with like 4 gb of hard drive space to what is a good distro for a beginner that would fit well on that HD space, or do all of them? well than one that would be still fairly fast.

An old distro of Slackware or Debian would be good, and you could also look into DSL (**** Small Linux)

Knoppix STD is basically Knoppix.

The people that did STD removed some programs that came with Knoppix, and then added security tools. Hence the STD, which stands for Security Tools Distribution.
