Default KDE 3.5...no package?

Can I just download a Source package for KDE 3.5, one that has an installer rather than having to download 50 different things?

depending on which distro you use someone probably has the packages ready to go, or you can download Konstruct and build it from source

Konstruct is really nice, but be forwarned that it installs to /$HOME by install.

Did you use Konstruct? I have no idea what I am doing and how to do it (the readme isn't ver in-depth).

Default

bunzip konstruct
cd konstruct/kde/meta
make install, you dont have to be root

wait for it to finish...it will download the whole thing one piece at a time and compile it as it goes along

then edit your .xinitrc file to run startkde in $HOME/kde3.5/bin

optional packages can be built by going into the indivual apps directories and doing make install there too
