Kde?

I have just finished installing Mandrake 9.0.......This is what it says

login: [I've typed my login name (tugish)]
then

my questions is, what do I do next?

startx

I have tried startx but its says command could no be found.

and it is actually Mandrake 9.2 not 9.0

try the command
XFdrake
to configure your X environment...
If that doesnt work, then perhaps you chose not to install Xwindows?

I think I didn't install X-windows.....Does it really matters since now I'm running KDE. In addition, can I be able to back the partition for Mandrake. Becos after a while, I have notice I have mistakenly recreated 2 partitions and a swap. 2 red partions and 1 green swap, I tried to combine the small partition together but I couldn't....Could that damage my HDD or make it unstable. Help.
