just installed my first linux

im a gamer so theres no way i can drop windows

well i went on that site and downloaded it burnt it to a cd
rebooted to the cd
clicked on install ubuntu
and i get an error? and it will not continue anyone knwo why this would happen?

This is the distro I use and recommend, Why because it works right out of the box. No need to configure Everything, everything just works. It also comes as a 1 CD install that is a live CD that you can install later if you wish.

so i try and change the resolution from vga to 800xsomething
and now i dont get the error message but just a black screen
