Default Installing Nvidia Linux Drivers

Can someone guide me through installing nvida drivers on Linux 7.04? Im on this page: Unix Drivers Portal Page but not quite sure what to do next, i really want to get into linux to expand my knowledge but at the moment the 1280x1024 resolution on my 1440x900 monitor is hurting my eyes

Do you mean you are you using Ubuntu 7.04?

If so, click on System > Administration > Restricted Drivers Manager.

It will ask for your password, so type it in and it will bring up a screen with a driver option on it for your video card. Click on the check box to enable the driver. Now, it will download the driver for you and install it. After it's all finished, you will need to reboot.

I'm extremely new to Linux too, so I used a program called envy. It pretty much does everything for you.

cheers guys, oh i updated to ubuntu 7.10 and you can set that to 1440x900 without installing anything WOO
