Default installing with Adept

Ok, so I know NOTHING about linux, well I know they have Tux Race and I had tried RH back when it wasnt Fedora Core. Anyways. Im trying to get firefox instead of Konqurer, and Im having problems.

Oh, Im using Kubuntu btw.

Ok, Ive tried sudo apt-get install firefox and I get the following error

Quote:
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?
Ive tired it in Adept and while I can request the install, I can select the "Apply Changes" button. Its 'greyed out'.

Any ideas on how to get this to work?

Default

Nevermind, I figured it out, I switched the compatibility on Adept from KDE to any suite and it showed up there to install it.
