IE and Linux

I tried to look at a work related webpage but it said i have to use IE 5.5 or higher to view it. Is there some type of patch i could use in firefox to view it?

I think that Konqueror has a setting that will let you cloak the browser as something else, so if that is a practical solution, try that.

EDIT: Oh, and complain to the site. Don't just take this sitting down, let them know that you resent that their site only works in IE!

Wine is known to work with IE, try to search on google, should give you something..

Opera let you choose what Browser you want to be identified as.. try that

Wine is buggy and I do not recommend it till it gets mroe stable. Yeah get Netscape or Opera for now till Firefox also has that feature.

i agree, complain to the site, thats ridiculous. i think its even ridiculous that the windows update site requries internet exposer

Firefox does have that feature, you just can't access it in the GUI.
