I finally got my wireless to work.. i started out with ubuntu 5.10 and ended up with ubuntu 5.04 and now it works.. thanks a lot guys

without looking it up, im guessing version 5.1 uses the 2.6 series kernel and 5.04 uses the 2.4 series

**** 2.6 series kernel has managed to become an enormous headache, its broken lots of apps

IIRC all of the 5 series uses some form of the 2.6 kernel so that couldn't be it.

I take it you still use 2.4, eh horndude?
