Default How to set up SAMBA?

I have a spare hard drive. I want to use SAMBA to share it to other machines on the network. Some machines are Win 2000, some are Win XP, and some are Ubuntu Linux. How can I set it up to make all of these operating systems read this hard drive and are able to read/write to it?
