How to install program in Mandrake

I'm new to Linux. I just installed Mandrake 9.2 and tried to install Corel WordPerfect 8 for Linus. However, when I open the CDRom icon in my desktop and double click the "install.wp" icon, nothing seems to happen. I guess opening or running a program in Linux is quite different to runniing in Windows. Please help, thanks.

Is there an RPM file? if so, double click that.

Check thier Web site for install intructions. You may have to compile the app. If so, do it and it will be better suited for your distro and computer.
