I am using mandrake 10.1, and am a novice to linux. I tried to download a modem driver to have an internet access, but it's flipping ****. I dunno how it works, totally opposite to windows.

I definitely need to learn linux but, Its totally new, I tried to install from shell

I went cd /mnt
and when it went to user@mnt) , I did ls
and inside cd sdrom
after that i coiuld see the content in cd , but I dunno how it goes further, I would appreceate the suggestion , thaNKS
