Default how do you setup super user?

ok i need to know what do you do to setup a super user. i never did on this computer? ubuntu

on ubuntu the superuser account doesn't work by default, it uses "sudo" instead

if you wish to login as root instead of preceding your command with "sudo" type this into terminal

sudo passwd root

There is a setting you can change on the login settings that will allow you to login to the local machine as root -- i'm not on my ubuntu pc right now, so i can't talk to there -- but it is there
