Default Grub boot loader

Alright so i have the grub boot loader, it auto installed when i installed linux to my other HDD. My problem is that it will boot to linux unless i specify windows, which is usually what i want. I looked around in the boot loader screen but didn't see anyway to change the boot order.

Wait, at strtup you get to slect which os you want to boot? I think you have the option to modify the grub boot loader from windows. Not too familiar with it.

No, the grub boot loader is not part of Windows.

you have to modify the boot loader, which I believe is in the Linux partition. Give me a few minutes, and I'll try to find where you should be looking.

Edit: Look in /boot/grub/grub.conf

That will show you the partitions that are available, and you can change which one is the default partition.

generally /boot/loader or /usr/local you can find its configuration. When you have multiple OS' you probably want to set a higher time out or once you find its config, set the windows part to primary.

Cheers!
