I'm not looking for equivalents. I'm looking for great software that you personally use and recommend. Such software can be browsers, media players, text editors, IM tools, Server tool, or just about anything.


I'm a personal fan of wine as it is something I can use to still have some control over windows applications.

I'm also a fan of GAIM because it supports all messengers.

textpad is a great text editor, I use that open office from sun too seems to be worthy

Firefox is the defualt browser when you install Fedora Core 3 is it the defualt for other forms of Linux? I am guilty how could I have forgotten Open Office. Did 2.0 come out of BETA yet?
