Question GConf server not in use, shutting down?

Hey forum,

I have some issues with the Xgl software I'm using...which isn't really out of the ordinary cuz most of the Xgl features are kinda unstable still. Just about everything works alright, except for the fact that every so often I'm suddenly logged out without warning and redirected back to the Fedora login screen...I checked /var/log/messages to see what was going on and it always contains the following lines:

Code:
Aug 25 20:55:07 localhost kernel: agpgart: Found an AGP 3.0 compliant device at 0000:00:00.0.
Aug 25 20:55:07 localhost kernel: agpgart: Putting AGP V3 device at 0000:00:00.0 into 8x mode
Aug 25 20:55:07 localhost kernel: agpgart: Putting AGP V3 device at 0000:02:00.0 into 8x mode
Aug 25 20:55:19 localhost gconfd (jeremy-6122): starting (version 2.14.0), pid 6122 user 'jeremy'
Aug 25 20:55:19 localhost gconfd (jeremy-6122): Resolved address "xml:readonly:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.mandatory" to a read-only configuration source at position 0
Aug 25 20:55:19 localhost gconfd (jeremy-6122): Resolved address "xml:readwrite:/home/jeremy/.gconf" to a writable configuration source at position 1
Aug 25 20:55:19 localhost gconfd (jeremy-6122): Resolved address "xml:readonly:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults" to a read-only configuration source at position 2
Aug 25 20:55:20 localhost gconfd (jeremy-6122): Resolved address "xml:readwrite:/home/jeremy/.gconf" to a writable configuration source at position 0
Aug 25 20:55:29 localhost gconfd (root-5991): GConf server is not in use, shutting down.
Aug 25 20:55:30 localhost gconfd (root-5991): Exiting
I'm not sure why it always says "GConf server is not in use, shutting down." I'm assuming it has something to do with the Xgl software I'm using. Has anyone seen this? Can I stop it from happening somehow?

I'm running Fedora Core 5. My video card is in the sig below. I'm running the compiz-quinn xgl package.

I gotta post this before it kicks me off again. Thanks in advance.
