hey man, much of linux is self serve, they arent many "turn key" type setups, google for "linux counterstrike" and start reading, with your system and losses involved with WINE or cedega I dont think CS will run worth a ****

linux although makes a great gaming platform, few games exist for it, if you have to game, use winblows

Most people say CS runs better in linux than windows. If you have a Nvidia gpu, you're good. On his hardware though, It might not run good.

Hello all.

First let me say that Condition Zero runs quite well on Linux using Cedega, if you go to the Cedega Games Database and click on Counter Strike: Condition Zero link you'll see the pictures I uploaded last year.

http://transgaming.org/gamesdb/games...l?game_id=3356

The OS I was using at the time was Ubuntu Hoary Hedgehog, however I have since installed this game on my Debian Etch system as well.

I have had no slowdowns, lags, or anything else for that fact. As long as your system meets the hardware requirements you should have no problem running this game.

Also as you can see in the pictures the game was running in a windowed environment, this can be changed to full screen. I used Point2Play for all my configuration needs. However if you are using the cvs version of cedega instead of the subscription (I had a subscription) then you can use a free frontend called Grapevine.

Peace V
