Hello! I just installed FreeBSD 5.4 on my laptop and I cant get connected to the internet. I am using the K desktop 3.4 if I recall right. Basically I dont think it is seeing the NIC. I am a very beginner with UNIX, but am trying to learn it pacefully. the NIC is a plugged into a laptop via the PC CARD slot. I dont think it is recognizing it there. How would I go about troubleshooting such an issue? Perhaps making sure that the device is being detected or not..config issue..etc etc..just some things to check possibly. Thanks!
