Formatting using KNoppix... how?
can anyone tell me how to format my hard drive using knoppix?

partition it with fdisk or cfdisk, not sure what knoppix has, if it needs partitoned
then use mke2fs to make whatever filesystem you want
you will need to be root
type man <command_name> for options on that command

if you will be installing a new os the os's setup will auto partion or format the hard drive
