Default Flash Player

Ok, simple problem, therefore i'm hoping for a simple solution

I have ubuntu and i'm trying to find Flash Player (or the equivalence) so i will be able to view videos on youtube.

I have a 64 bit version of ubuntu so the site in the sticky did not work for me

When will a 64-bit version of Adobe Flash Player for Linux be available?

The Adobe Flash Player team is working on support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Adobe Flash Player. We have not yet announced timing or release dates.

And I don't know of a 64-bit Flash 7 or 8 for Linux. I could be wrong, however.

I didn't think flash 8, whether 32 or 64 bit, even existed.

I used to run the 64 bit version of ubuntu, in fact I tried it twice, but the compatibility issue was a big problem. I understand since then it has gotten better, but I'm not willing to try since I got nothing out of 64 bit vs 32, in my opinion.

I am however running the flash 9 beta for ubuntu and I'm on the 32 bit version. It works great, love it.

Just load the page in Firefox, then it will ask you to install the missing plugins... at least the worked for me.

^ Yeah, it works for 32-bit Firefox, but not 64-bit Firefox, because there is no 64-bit Flash plugin.
