Firefox has been closing for a friend of mine when she attempts to write an email in windows live. Any reasons for this?

She's using Ubuntu on a laptop.

I would think that since Windows Live is Microsoft and Ubuntu is Linux, it may have something to do with that.

I know when I use my Hotmail account using Ubuntu things don't always render as nicely as if I use Firefox under Windows to access my Hotmail account.

Maybe there is something similar in the sense that there may be a compatibility issue of an Ubuntu client accessing a Windows e-mail server, and the browser gets caught in the middle of it.

Which version of Firefox is she using? With the latest update to the M$ sites if she is not using the most up to date version of Firefox it could easily be causing crashes on the older versions of the browser. With the release of Bing not long ago the sites code was updated.

according to her, the software reads as:

They are on Firefox 3.0.11 now so that could easily be the issue right there. Tell her to update her firefox to the latest version and see if that helps.
