Default Firefox 2 Bookmarks Problem

After I updated to Edgy, whenever I hit 'Bookmark This Page' and click add the Add Bookmark window stays popped-up instead of closing like it used to. If I click 'Add' more than once the bookmark will be added more than once. This isn't a huge problem, but it is rather annoying. Any suggestions?

Are you using the Firefox that comes with Edgy or the Firefox you can download from GetFirefox.com ?

If the case is the first, I suggest you get the binary on GetFirefox.com and try again. It's likely the program was compiled incorrectly by a Ubuntu developer.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried downloading it from GetFirefox.com, but I am still having the same problem. I also noticed just now that the spell checking function isn't working anymore even though it is enabled in the preferences.

GTK problems perhaps? And that would also explain the spelling problem, since it depends on gtkspell.

The best way to approach that, I couldn't tell you.

EDIT: You might also want to ask here. They would probably be able to better advise you than us.

Gah, I just realized that anytime I bookmark something it is erased the next time I boot

Hopefully I will find a solution soon

It seems the bookmark issue has cleared itself up, but I am still having problems with the spell checker.

EDIT: I just fixed the spell checker, there was no language selected :o
