Default Fire Fox on SuSE

Yea, so I downloaded it and the tar is sitting there...and I installed it via the install in the tar file.

But

There are no icons, how do I succesfully install those things and use the icons? (I want a firefox icon).

which GUI are you using?

for KDE or Gnome I believe a right click on the screen then create a new shortcut or pointer to the executable in ~/firefox-installer/firefox should do it, then change the icon if you dont like the default gear icon

for others im not sure, with fluxbox you just edit the menu in ~/fluxbox/menu

Could fire up yast and hit add/remove software, select firefox and install from there, that way yast does it all for you

Something like Right Click-New Application Launcher-and in location point it to where Firefox is located---for me /usr/share/Firefox.

This isn't exactly right, as I haven't made a shortcut in SuSE in quite some time.
