Default File sharing Windows & Linux

Hello,

I'm back to bug y'all with more linux questions. Is it possible to share files like you can do windows-to-windows? only with a Linux machine? I heard from someone that Samba would do that?

I STILL CANT PLAY MY MP3s!!!!

What distro are you using. Do you already have Samba installed? Be more specific.

Default Sharing files

Well I was attempting to try to access my back-ups from a local computer with the LinNeighborhood, Samba is installed. But it wasnt loading a file manager after mounting the windows harddrive. I was able to finally access them using Nautilus, but I'm still unable to do it thru LinNeighborhood. I've looked around and haven't been able to find additional operating information on LinNeighborhood itself, so if you can tell me what I'm doing wrong I would be very greatful. I'm currently running Mandrake 9.2.
