THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED

I just wanted to know how come Knoppix 4.0 couldn't recover the files on an NTFS volume. Previous version (the one I used 3.7 before) had no problem. I believe the only difference between the two version was that 3.7 you had to start captive NTFS up first, then mount the volume and uncheck "read-only". Well I've did that all except for starting captive ntfs because it's loaded automaticly on 4.0. However no luck what's so ever. Keeps telling me that it's read-only when copying to any volume.

If you wanted to know what happen and why I needed to recover, it was that **** "Microsoft Computer Shared Toolkit". Messed up one of the account and I couldn't log into it no more. Had to delete the account and recreate it. The files for the old user account were save but I couldn't access it to copy it into the new account (this is in an XP home machine and believe me I've tried everything in Windows). Therefore tried to use Knoppix 4.0...no luck then I solve the problem with ERD commander 05.

Anyone have a clue?
