Default Few mousy questions

Is there an easy way to use a scroll wheel in linux, useful for scrolling web pages and zooming in PSP was really useful.
Also using Firefox, when I press the mousewheel - acting as third button I assume - it tries to access a link; depending on how I wiggle the scroll wheel it comes up with different links, but I can't see any activity on screen that this relates to...

Using Slackware 10.0 + XFCE + Firefox

Thanks.

Your probably going to have to go back and reconfigure the settings for X, slack10 uses X.org and to be honest I dont have a clue how to change it.I know there's some crossover tween the old xfree86 system and X.org config files, but not sure on the details.Try going to the X.org site and see.I know a scroll mouse will work under lnux.
